State police investigate Accomack church fire

PARKSLEY, Va. (WBOC) -- Virginia State Police are investigating a Wednesday morning fire that heavily damaged a church in Accomack County.

The fire happened at around 9 a.m. at Adams United Methodist Church located on the 23000 block of Leemont Road in Parksley.

Fire officials said the blaze is believed to have started in the attic.

No one was injured and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
