RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Hundreds of people rallied at the State Capitol Saturday to voice their opinion in support of gun ownership.
The protest comes as a response to legislation introduced into the General Assembly over the past week. One bill would require background checks for all gun purchases. That legislation would close what supporters call the "gun show loophole."
The legislation is coming to another vote when the session resumes. Some protesters are concerned that any legislation restricting the sale of guns infringes on their Second Amendment rights.
