Man survives run-in with tree on Chippenham Parkway

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) -- A tree has fallen across the Chippenham Parkway, blocking northbound traffic. This happened between Hull Street and Belmont.

Jon Burkett is on scene and reports the left lane has reopened. The back backup is currently one half of a mile.

Virginia State Police spokesman Sgt. Thomas Molnar said the tree struck two vehicles when it came down. No one was injured.
