Richmond zoo cleared after investigation of tiger attack

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - In November, a young male cat, Kumba, was playing with a 5-year-old female cat, McCoy.

During the interaction, Kumba grabbed McCoy her by the neck, killing her. The death prompted the United States Department of Agriculture to send inspectors to the zoo.

After an investigation, the inspector found no safety violations, and the zoo was cleared of wrongdoing.
