VIDEO: Mom’s iPad prank leads to tears but ends with smile

(WTVR) — One mom is catching a lot of criticism after a prank on her 8 year old went viral on YouTube.

The mother convinced her son he had accidentally used an iPad to buy a $50,000 Ford Mustang. The 8 year old boy spends hours of the day looking at cars on e-Bay and he believed he had accidentally clicked purchase on the sports car.

Mom didn’t stop when the boy started crying. She didn’t keep the prank going for too long though. She gave in to let her son know it was only a joke.

Some viewers online quickly called the prank cruel. The mom still says she didn’t do anything wrong and it was all in good fun.
