RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) -- The Virginia Department of Transportation says crews are ready for whatever falls from the sky Saturday.

In fact, the agency said that In the Richmond district alone, they have stocked 64,000 tons of salt and 34,000 tons of sand.

VDOT also has ten weather sensors installed on bridges and roads in our area, and 45-traffic cameras that they will constantly monitor, to determine if and when roads need to be treated.
