HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A Henrico County man won $5 million off a Virginia Lottery scratch ticket. Clarence Seay claimed his prize today.

“I was hoping to win maybe $100,000,” the retired construction worker told the Virginia Lottery. “Winning $5 million never entered into my mind.”

Seay bought the winning Virginia’s $5 Million club ticket on Dec. 21 at the Handy Stop in Sandston.

“I was excited,” he said. “I kept saying, ‘I’m a millionaire!’”

Seay chose the “cash option” meaning he will take home $3.2 million before taxes.
