Chesterfield car pursuit ends with crash

CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WTVR)–Around 6 p.m. tonight, a police chase ended in a vehicle crash, with one passenger taken to VCU Medical, police at the scene confirmed. 

Police said they were in pursuit of the 2000 Buick sedan after observing reckless driving. 

The vehicle failed to stop and led police on a chase that ended with a crash on Cricklewood Drive. Police said that the driver bailed from the vehicle but was apprehended. 

The passenger was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

Police said that charges are pending as this remains an active investigation.
