RICHMOND, Va, (WTVR): Deck Your Dogs with Bows and Holly! The Officers of the Richmond Mounted Squad’s annual seasonal Blessing of the Animals is Friday, December 14 at noon. The event is to recognize working animals and celebrate the joy of companion animals.
Fellow animal lovers are invited to bring your working horses and dogs, and pets to Shockoe Slip Fountain Square (Morgan Fountain) in front of the Martin Agency, Susan Greenbaum will entertain before and after the blessing.
Pets and people are encouraged to dress for the season and if you have a picture of a beloved pet bring that also.
