(WTVR) - A family says they're lucky their son is alive after the 19-year-old son fell off a 100 foot cliff in Arkansas.

It happened over the weekend when Austin Elde and a friend were gazing at the stars.

Elde is still in critical condition with head trauma, a punctured lung, and broken bones.

His family believes he's still alive for a reason -- and that the single tree that broke his fall was a miracle.

Austin's family has been posting updates on their Facebook page and asking for prayers.
