HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) — A Henrico school that was damaged by fire one month ago will re-open Thursday.

Tuckahoe Elementary School was closed for repairs in November when a spark fell from a light, starting a fire and causing severe smoke damage.

Since then, students have attended class at Short Pump Middle School.

School leaders said students won’t notice too many changes when they return to class Thursday morning.

Additionally, officials said there are some new light fixtures and many walls have a fresh coat of paint, but almost everything else remains the same.
