Vehicle crashes into a Richmond convenience store

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Police are investigating an incident where a vehicle crashed into a convenience store.

It happened on the 1600 block of Mechanicsville Turnpike.

CBS 6 crews tell us that a female left her child in the car.  The child then hit the accelerator and drove the car into the store.  Police say they are not going to charge anyone for damage.

A building inspector will see if the convenience store is safe for customers.

No injuries were reported.
