Governor honors Pearl Harbor survivors

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Friday marks the 71st anniversary of the day that has lived in infamy.

On Dec. 7, 1941 the Japanese attacked U.S. forces at Pearl Harbor and launched the country’s direct involvement in World War Two.

Six Pearl Harbor survivors were honored for their sacrifice to the country by veterans, current members of the military and the governor at the Virginia War Memorial Friday morning.
