Can soda cause certain types of cancer?
If you’re a man, the next time you go out to eat you may want to skip the soda.
Swedish scientists tracked more than 8,000 men over a 15 year period. Those who drank just one soft drink a day raised their risk of prostate cancer by 40 percent.
The study also found an increased risk for a milder form of prostate cancer in men who ate a large amount of sugary breakfast cereal, rice and pasta.
However, scientists say more research is needed to see how genes respond to different diets.
