RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Police released surveillance video they hoped would lead to clues in the weekend murder of a south Richmond store clerk. The video showed people walking outside the Food Mart on Erich Road, off Midlothian Turnpike.

Store owner Muhammed Taib, 59, was shot and killed Saturday morning behind the store counter. Police said it appeared Taib was shot during a robbery attempt.

Taib's son, one his of five children, said the day before his father died, the two stayed up all night talking about life.

“I’ll never forget him, and I’ll tell my kids about him,” Sheroz Khan said. “He was just so loving; he loved me so much.”
