RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) - As we head into the weekend expect lots of travelers coming back from Thanksgiving holiday plans and increased traffic around a few events as we get ready for the Christmas season. Crews have lifted all temporary construction through Monday at noon. This should help travelers and improve conditions through those work zones.

However, we have a lot of Christmas events kicking off this weekend. One of those is RVA on Ice downtown. The rink always brings a great crowd and it's opening weekend. Expect heavy traffic along Broad and Grace between 7th and 10ths streets. Avoid the area if possible.
