Police find suspect in wrecked vehicle

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Police called off a chase early Wednesday morning, but were able to catch up with the suspect when they found his vehicle wrecked down a hill in Richmond.

Police said they called off the pursuit after about 20 seconds Wednesday morning. Soon thereafter, police found the suspect's crashed down a hill along Second and Byrd Streets.

Emergency crews removed the suspect from the car. He suffered minor injuries.

Charges against the driver are pending. Police have not yet said why they were pursuing the suspect in the first place.
