The Richmond Spiders beat William & Mary 21-14 to bring the Capital Cup back to the River City and positioned themselves for a trip to the 1-AA playoffs for the first time since 2009.

Richmond finished the regular season 8-3 and will have a viewing party on Sunday to see if they will be in the field of 20 for the 1-AA playoffs.
