Va. GOP leader under fire for Facebook post

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A leader in Virginia’s Republican Party is being criticized for comments he posted on his Facebook page about President Obama.

Bob FitzSimmonds is the treasurer of the Virginia Republican Party’s State Central Committee and a one-time legal aid for Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli.

FitzSimmonds posted remarks on Facebook on Wednesday which read, “When Obama is 90-years-old and dies and goes to hell, he is going to say ‘This is all Bush’s fault.’”

While the comment has drawn criticism, FitzSimmonds sees nothing wrong with his remarks. He says his comment wasn’t about the President going to hell, but rather his obsession with shifting blame.
