Chicago, IL – You’ve heard the stories about devastation and loss left behind by Hurricane Sandy.

But the storm actually changed one guy’s life in a good way.

After Sandy hit, 38-year-old Josh Turner drove from his home in Chicago to New Jersey.

Turner runs a water removal business and he volunteered his services for free to storm victims. While in New Jersey, he picked up a lottery scratch-off ticket and won $100,000 dollars.

After taxes, the jackpot comes to about $70,000.

Turner said he plans to invest some of the money in his business, give to his church and donate to a family in need.
