RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - If you're excited about holiday shopping this year you might have to wait a little longer for all the decor in Nordstrom department stores.

The chain reminded its shoppers that it is the Nordstrom custom to finish up the Thanksgiving holiday before they make the move to Christmas themed decorations.

Some stores have a sign for shoppers saying that they won't be decking the halls until November 23rd.

This isn't the first year they've made this decision, the company says "we just like the idea of celebrating one holiday at a time."
