Marathon trainer tells us what it takes to prepare for a race

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Since the New York Marathon was canceled last week, Sports Backers reported over 900 people registered for the race here in Richmond.

Overall, 18,000 runners hit the streets for the marathon, half-marathon, and 8K.

We talked to Don Garber and Sean Cusak with the Marathon Training Team.  Both Garber and Cusak say it takes time for people to build up their mileage and endurance.
