HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A gas station was robbed at gunpoint on Friday.
It happened at 8:15 a.m. at the Racetrack on the 3800 block of Meadowbridge Road.
Police say Walter Alexander Gaines III allegedly walked into the gas station and displayed a handgun. They also say he told owner not to sound the alarm and demanded cash from both registers.
Gaines then allegedly forced the owner in the back of the store and fled.
Officials say he turned himself in on Saturday.
