Sharon Osbourne talks about her double mastectomy

(WJW) – TV talk show host and reality show judge Sharon Osbourne told Hello! magazine it was a “no brainer” to undergo a double mastectomy.

“As soon as I found out I had the breast cancer gene, I thought: ‘The odds are not in my favor,’” Osbourne said. She said she didn’t want to live under the cloud of cancer.

An Osbourne family representative told People magazine that Osbourne underwent a 13-hour operation last summer.

“It’s not ‘pity me,’” Osbourne said. She called her decision one “that’s got rid of this weight that I was carrying around.”
