CHARLOTTE, NC (WTVR) - Is voting something you must do or an option?

While some consider it their civic duty to cast a ballot others chose not to participate in the political process.

And those that don't vote are getting "called out" publicly. Some voters in Charlotte, North Carolina got letters saying if they don't vote, their name will be placed on public list and mailed to their neighbors.

Odell Grier calls it a form of intimidation and a threat.
