Why you should not store batteries in your fridge

PETERSBURG, Va. (WTVR) – Did you stock up on batteries ahead of Hurricane Sandy?

Eric Finch, from Battery Barn in Petersburg, told CBS 6 senior reporter Wayne Covil that you should not store your batteries in your refrigerator because that will shorten the battery’s life. He says batteries should be stored at room temperature.
