RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)--You might have seen a lot of commotion on Chamberlayne Avenue this afternoon, when the Richmond SWAT team was called out to an apartment there.

Police were called to the 2700 block after a man, armed with a knife, barricaded himself inside a home. Officers were told he was combative and disoriented.

SWAT negotiators tried to talk the man out of the home, but soon saw him collapse to the floor.

Police say he was taken to the hospital for evaluation, and that charges may be pending.

No one was injured.
