County supervisor arrested on forcible sodomy charge
ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – An Albemarle County Supervisor was arrested and charged with one count of forcible sodomy, a felony, according to an email from Albemarle County Police Public Information Officer Carter Johnson.
Police arrested Christopher Dumler on October 17. Johnson said the alleged incident happened October 4.
Police said Dumler knew victim. No further details about the crime were released.
Dumler, who is being held at Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail, was due in court Thursday for a bond hearing.
Police said this case was “an ongoing investigation and an active case.”
