Broken gas line prompts evacuation

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Some homes along the 4600 block of Patterson Avenue were evacuated this morning after a gas line ruptured, according to Richmond Fire Lt. Robbie Hagaman. The neighbors were allowed back into their homes by 10:15 a.m.

Initial reports from the scene indicated a contractor hit the gas line.
