RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Virginia State Police responded to a three vehicle crash at exit 78 on I-95 south at 8:57 Saturday morning.

Police say the driver of a Toyota Eco attempted to change lanes from the right lane to the center lane and hit a tractor trailer.  The Toyota flipped over and landed in the left lane after hitting the tractor trailer.  Another vehicle then hit the tractor trailer.

The four people in the Toyota suffered minor injuries and were taken to VCU Medical Center.  The driver, 54-year-old Myriam Rodriguez, and two of the three passengers were wearing their seat belts.

Authorities say Rodriguez was charged with making an unsafe lane change.

The left and center lanes were closed for 40 minutes.
