Virginia Beach, Va. (WTVR) - A judge has lifted the emergency protective order that was previously issued against a Virginia Beach councilman.

John Uhrin was arrested over the weekend after neighbors said they saw him attacking his wife on the front lawn of their house.

The couple appeared in court Tuesday and told the judge that Uhrin's wife fell and scraped her knee.

Uhrin is expected to address the Virginia Beach Council, but as of now, he said he has no plans to resign.
