MECHANICSVILLE, Va. (WTVR) – A Powerball ticket worth $2 million was sold in Mechanicsville, according to an email from the Virginia Lottery.

The ticket was purchased at the 7-Eleven at 8316 Meadowbridge Road. The ticket matched the first five numbers in last night’s drawing, but missed the Powerball number.

The person who bought the ticket paid an extra dollar for “Power Play” which doubled the normally $1 million prize to $2 million.

The winning numbers for last night’s drawing were 17-23-36-55-59 and the Powerball number was 10.
