(WTVR)–Someone in Virginia just lost out on a million dollars.

A one million dollar Powerball ticket that was sold at a Virginia Beach Food Lion back in March expired at 5 p.m. on Thursday.

By law, winners have 180 days after the lottery drawing to claim their prize.

Now, that one million dollars will  go into the state’s literary fund to help Virginia schools.
