School bus hits, injures Henrico student

UPDATE: Student says bus driver swerved — and hit his friend

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A school bus hit a Henrico High School student Friday morning, according to Henrico Police spokeswoman Lt. Linda Toney. The student suffered a leg injury and was taken to VCU Medical Center for treatment. Details about the extent of the student’s injury and current condition have not yet been released.

Lt. Toney said the incident happened Friday morning around 8:10 near Byron Street and Duke Road.


The bus was carrying students to Wilder Middle School. Those students were put on another bus and taken to school.
