Traffic backup on I95 Northbound in Colonial Heights
At 3 p.m., in Richmond, there was a three vehicle accident that left one person with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of Ford Explorer has been charged with failure to yield.

Henrico, Chesterfield, Richmond and New Kent have all cancelled afterschool and evening activities due to severe weather.

Henrico County Public Schools cancelled all after-school programs.
All after-school and evening events are now cancelled in Chesterfield County. This includes athletic events, back to school nights, adult ed classes, etc.
UPDATE: All afterschool and evening activities for Richmond Public Schools have been canceled because of the severe weather threat.
