RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – This morning, one of NASA’s NASAHS3 Global Hawk aircraft took flight from Virginia-based NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility. This aircraft is on its way to investigate a developing tropical system in the central Atlantic while flying high above the storm itself. This system will likely be designated Tropical Depression 14 at any time, and will probably become Tropical Storm and then Hurricane Nadine through the rest of this week. However, this system is expected to take a turn northward before getting close to the U.S.
