Meet the mother behind ‘Cookies for Cancer’
RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – When she found out her two-year-old son was diagnosed with stage four cancer, Gretchen Witt knew she needed to do something to raise awareness and money for pediatric cancer research.
The idea of a bake sale seemed silly to some, but she went on with her plans and ended up selling more than 96,000 cookies in the first 8 days.
The organization has raised more than $4 million for pediatric cancer research.
