DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - Persistence paid off in Dinwiddie County.

Virginia lottery officials said John Wilson always buys tickets from Nelson’s Feed in Ford, Virginia, and he plays the same numbers all the time. Wilson plays so much, store James Van Cleef knows Wilson's numbers by heart.

Van Cleef said one day he told Wilson, "I’m going to play along with you."

The two men played the numbers in the Cash 5 drawing and each one $100,000.

As for Nelson’s Feed store, just a few weeks earlier it sold a scratcher to a woman who won $1,000,000.
