RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Tens of thousands of people turned out to enjoy some delectable watermelon and family fun Sunday.
The 29th annual Carytown Watermelon Festival took place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This year’s event featured 60 musicians and over 100 exhibitors. (Plus, there were over 3,000 watermelons on hand!)
The watermelon festival has become the largest one-day festival in the state. [BONUS: Click here for a map of the event.]
The festival is free, but proceeds from watermelon sales went to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
