DOSWELL, Va. (WTVR) – Kings Dominion’s Dominator roller coaster reopened Monday after safety checks determined there was nothing wrong with the ride, Kings Dominion Communications Manager Gene Petriello wrote in an email to CBS 6.
The ride had been closed since Friday. That’s when a park worker discovered a rider on the Dominator was “unresponsive” when the cars pulled back into the station. That rider was taken to the hospital. [CLICK HERE: Kings Dominion ride closed after person found unresponsive]
No information about the rider’s medical condition was released, but Petriello did release a statement over the weekend that read, ““Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family affected.”
