DOSWELL, Va. (WTVR)–A roller coaster at Kings Dominion remains closed still after a medical emergency with a park guest that occurred Friday night.

Park spokesperson Gene Petriello told CBS 6 that a person was found unresponsive on the Dominator roller coaster. He said that park safety officials, and the Hanover Fire and EMS departments responded to the scene, and took the person to Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family affected,” Petriello said in a statement to CBS 6.

Petriello said a county inspector found no problems with the ride, but that the ride will remain closed as a precautionary measure until a second inspection is completed.

Kings Dominion has yet to release what the medical emergency was, or how severe it was.

The Dominator is reported to be the longest floorless roller coaster in the world, with one of the tallest vertical loops in the world. The ride features five inversions total, with a top-speed of 65 miles-per-hour. The track is 4,210-feet long.
