RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)—Storms on Sunday knocked out power to tens of thousands in Virginia.
In the Greater Richmond area, as of 6:30 p.m., there are almost 7,334 outages. Earlier in the afternoon, around 4 p.m., there were only approximately 1,000 outages.
At 4:07 p.m., reports came in that a power line was taken down by a tree in Hanover. There are also reports of trees down on roads in King and Queen county.
Southeastern Virginia was also hit, with 1,159 outages at the peak of the storm. That total has dropped now below 300. Click here for updated Dominion outage numbers.
