RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Doppler Max 6 3D is able to provide critical weather information to our CBS 6 Storm Team that we relay to you, especially during severe weather events like tornadoes or severe storms capable of damaging wind gusts. But this radar system can also see other objects moving through the air other than raindrops, hail stones, or debris. Dirt, dust, insects, and birds can also be seen! This morning, exactly at sunrise, I noticed birds taking flight at sunrise (very common along the waterways in Virginia) for the start of their day. Breakfast! The early birds get the worms, right?
