(WTVR) -- Yvonne Miller's funeral was held Tuesday morning in Norfolk after she lost her battle with cancer last week. She was 77 and died right before her 78th birthday.

Miller was the first African-American woman to serve in both Virginia's House of Delegates, and state Senate. She was also the longest serving woman in Virginia's senate.
