Goochland man dies in mud bogging accident

PALMYRA, Va. (WTVR)--A mud bogging accident left one Goochland man dead at a Fluvanna county farm.

The sheriff's office said that on Saturday. Carol Engel Jr., known as Chuck by his friends, lost control of his vehicle, which overturned into a pond.

It`s not yet clear if the death was a result of drowning or a suspected medical problem, which investigators believe may have caused the crash.

Police said that witnesses told them that Engel was experienced at mud bogging, and swimming. The location, Haislip Farm, is between Scottsville and Palmyra.
