Woman charged in Shockoe hit and run
RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Richmond Police arrested and charged a woman in connection to a June hit and run in Shockoe Slip.
Investigators arrested Doreen L. Johnson, 55, of the 1400 block of Georgia Avenue, according to a press release from department spokeswoman Dionne Waugh. Johnson is charged with felony hit and run with more charges pending, police said.
Johnson is accused of hitting a woman crossing the street at 14th and East Cary streets, then driving off. The woman survived the June 23 incident and is recovering in a critical care treatment center, according to Waugh.
Police ask anyone with any information about this crime to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
