RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – The Virginia Department of Transportation is working to clear more than 200 roads blocked during Friday night’s storm. According to a VDOT press release crews are clearing downed trees and debris from 250 state roads. All the interstates are clear, VDOT added.

The storm knocked out power to hundreds of thousands of people in Virginia.

“Our crews will be working around the clock to clear the roads so power can be restored as quickly as possible,” said VDOT Commissioner Greg Whirley.
