PRINCE GEORGE, Va. (WTVR) – Low gas prices have some folks in Central Virginia doing a double take.

That’s because gas prices have dropped below $3 a gallon across parts of our area.

In fact, CBS 6 senior reporter Wayne Covil spotted several stations in Prince Gorge selling fuel for $2.99 Thursday.

And those low prices are attracting customers from near and far.

Gas prices are expected to keep dropping through the Fourth of July.
