HENRICO, Va. (WTVR)--It wasn't just the minor leaguers, the Flying Squirrels, who saw their field of dreams turned into a nightmare.

Today’s storm brought down three trees over the backstop of this Cal Ripken league field in Lakeside, totally destroying one of the dug outs.

“It`s like about four trees right here, it took the top of the light fixture off and this entire part of the fence is bowed completely,” Jennifer Hulcher, who uses the field, said.

No word on when the next game was scheduled to be played at the field, or when and how it will be fixed.
