One dead after shooting inside NTelos Wireless store

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WTVR) – One person was killed after a shooting inside a NTelos Wireless store in Colonial Heights. Police are conducting a “death investigation,” according to Colonial Heights police Sgt. Rob Ruxer.

Police are investigating whether the man who walked into the store and fired a gun is also the victim. Police are also investigating whether the man died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Sgt. Ruxer said police consider the scene “secure” and that there is no threat to the community.

The NTelos Wireless store is located along the 3100 block of Boulevard in the Colonial Square Shopping Center near the intersection of Ellerslie Ave.

The shooting happened around 10:20 Friday morning.
